On 29 November 2016, Ministry of Industry of Thailand published “Ministerial Notification prescribing the criteria on contamination in soil and groundwater, the examination of soil and groundwater quality, information including making the report of the result of soil and groundwater quality examination, and the report which shall be proposed the measurement to control and reduce the contamination in soil and groundwater” in the official gazette.
Factories of 12 target categories are required to submit information about chemicals used or stored and sampling map by 29 May 2017. Soil and groundwater samples collected in accordance with the guideline published by the Department of Industrial Works shall be analyzed by the registered laboratory.
