EnviX Asia organizeda Seminar about New Soil & Groundwater Regulation of Thailand in Tokyo on 12 December 2016 and in Bangkok on 3 February 2017.
In the seminars, Mr. Yoshihiro Nakazato, President of EnviX Asia, delivered an opening address.
Following to the opening address, Mr. Kenichi Umeyama, Managing Director of EnviX Asia, briefed participants on overview of the new soil &groundwater regulation.
Then, Dr. Chayawee Wangcharoenrung, Director of Industrial Wastewater Division, Pollution Control Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand explained about requirement of the new soil &groundwater regulation and gave suggestions to the participants on how to comply with the requirements from the viewpoint of the officials.
Lastly, Mr. Atsushi Yamaki, Director of EnviX Asia, illustrated difference of soil and groundwater regulations between Japan and Thailand. He also explained about technical approaches to tackle with soil and groundwater contamination based on his project experiences, including Toyosu Project, which is one of the biggest pollution cases of social concern in Japan.
In the seminar in Tokyo, Mr. Baworn Sattayawuthiphong, Minister-Counsellor, Office of Industrial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, also gave a speech on the concept of the new regulation and industrial policy of Thailand for sustainable development.
